About Me

Elizabeth was inspired by her own children as she worked with them to read and write. Working with children as an Occupational Therapist for several years and working with her own children, she has learned that each child develops skills at various rates and in various ways. She began to create small books for her children by adding in a star throughout as a visual reminder to make it easier for them to understand where to begin when reading and writing. She found this unique strategy to be beneficial during the process. She believes that gaining confidence in reading and writing will assist them in their educational experience as well as in other activities of their lives.

Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois with emphasis in Child Development and has Bachelor of Science degrees in Occupational Therapy and Psychology from St. Ambrose University. She is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
